Gani disagrees with Bhuiyan's political move

BNP standing committee member RA Gani Saturday disagreed with secretary general Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan's way of announcing proposals to reform the party, reports UNB.
Talking to reporters at his residence, Gani said Bhuiyan could have placed his reform proposals to the BNP council instead of announcing those to media.
"As per BNP constitution, any reform proposal is to be placed before the party council session for approval," he said, questioning how the method of announcing the reform proposals by Bhuiyan can be democratic and constitutional.
Gani said the BNP chairperson has the authority to convene the party council, but Bhuiyan's move is creating confusion among the party leaders and workers.
He said it needs adequate time to organize a big affair like the council session, as there are thousands of councilors of BNP. "We are also thinking how it could be done," he told the reporters.
Meanwhile, Bhuiyan continued parleys with the BNP leaders from different tiers of the party. He is soon expected to announce his second set of proposals to reform the party and the state machinery.
