Give priority to people's interest in finalising coal policy, says PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said country's coal policy would have to be finalised giving priority to maximum welfare of the mass people, reports UNB.
She made the suggestion at a presentation on Energy and Coal Policy at the Prime Minister's Office on Wednesday afternoon, as government authorities are framing the policy for the nascent sector.
Energy and Mineral Resources Department moderated the presentation programme.
The Prime Minister said coal policy will be finalised, but environmental, social, political, economic and every other aspect of the mass people relating to extraction of coal will have to be scrutinized thoroughly in the first place.
