Narayanganj City Mayor Selina Hayat Ivy Monday said godfathers were involved in the Narayanganj seven-murder incident, reports UNB.
"People of the country know who the godfathers of Narayanganj are", Ivy told reporters after the seven-member inquiry committee formed by the government to investigate the seven-murder case interrogated her over the gruesome murders.
The committee chief, Shahjahan Ali Mollah, additional secretary of Public Administration Ministry, interrogated Mayor Ivy from 10:45 am to 12:15 pm at the Secretariat.
She also said that she did not mention the name of Osman family during interrogation over the killing.
Replying to a question, Ivy said she only replied to what the inquiry committee wanted to know from her.
Answering another question, she said the main accused of the sensational murders Nur Hossain should be brought back home from Kolkata to know the facts of the seven murders.
Inquiry committee chief Shahjahan Mollah informed newsmen that they have taken a statement from Selina Hayat Ivy about the seven murders.
