Goons gun down businessman in city

Armed muggers Saturday gunned down a businessman in the city's Shyampur area, police said.
The deceased was identified as Harun-or-Rashid (36) who owned a garment factory located in the area.
Wife of the victim said a group of muggers entered their house at about 4:30pm and opened fire on her husband when he shouted for help. The muggers left their house immediately after the incident. Local people rushed Harun to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the attending doctors declared him dead. A murder case has been registered with the police station concerned and police are investigating the matter. — FE Report
