Govt approves 6th Wage Board Award

The caretaker government Thursday approved the final recommendations of the 6th Wage Board Award for the salaries, allowances and other benefits for journalists, employees and press workers, reports UNB
An official announcement said: "The 6th Wage Board submitted its recommendations to the government and in the light of those the government approved it."
The Ministry of Information has sent the recommendations to the BG Press for a Gazette Notification.
The 13-member Wage Board was constituted way back in 2005 with a retired judge of the Appellate Division as its chairman.
