BNP chairperson's adviser ASM Hannan Shah said the government published the list of corruption suspects according to its promise, but the list should contain some more names of BNP reformists, reports UNB.
"The list indicates, though late, the government has changed its position by incorporating at least some of the reformists," he told reporters at his New DOHS house Friday.
Hannan Shah said those who commit corruption are corrupts and the government must look into it if someone could not escape punishment after committing corruption.
He, however, said action should be taken against the real corrupts without harassing the innocent people.
Replying to a question, Hannan said perhaps former LGRD Minister Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan has blessings from "pir-fakir" and for that his name is not on the latest list of suspected corrupts.
He termed "false" the case against Tarique Rahman, his wife Jobaida Rahman and mother-in-law Syeda Iqbal Mand Banu and urged the government not to implicate women in corruption cases, and grant bail to the accused women already in jail.
