Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina sent one tonne of 'Amrapali' mangoes as a gift to Indian President Ram Nath Kovind and its Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The mangoes were sent to the residents of the President and the Prime Minister of India through diplomatic channel, a spokesperson for the Bangladesh High Commission in Delhi said.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had also sent mangoes as a gift to the President and the Prime Minister of India last year.
She also sent mangoes to the Chief Ministers of West Bengal, Tripura and Assam last year.
The relationship between Bangladesh and India has reached a new height and the "Mango & Hilsa diplomacy" is making the ties more vibrant, the spokesperson said.
