HC declares contempt of court ordinance illegal

The High Court (HC) has cancelled the Contempt of Court Ordinance 2008, declaring it illegal and unconstitutional.
A HC Bench of Justice ABM Khairul Haq and Justice Md Abu Tariq gave the ruling Thursday on a writ petition filed by Supreme Court lawyers Md Shamsul Huq and Tajul Islam.
