Held DU teachers testify before commission

Two detained Dhaka University (DU) teachers and a Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) leader started testifying before the judicial inquiry commission at the Circuit House at 11am Monday, reports bdnews24.com.
Dean of Social Science Faculty Prof Harunur Rashid was the first to testify. Prof Nimchandra Bhoumik of Applied Physics and Electronics Department, and JCD President Azizul Bari Helal followed him.
They were driven from Dhaka Central Jail in a prison van to the commission headquarters around 10:30am.
Justice Habibur Rahman Khan, chief of the one-man commission took their depositions. Monday is the 24th day of taking depositions. Prof Rashid, Prof Bhoumik and Helal bring the total count of witnesses to 86.
