Hossain Khaled elected DCCI president

Hossain Khaled was elected president of the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) on Wednesday at its 53rd Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Humayun Rashid was elected Senior Vice President and Md Shoaib Choudhury Vice President for the year 2015.
The newly elected directors for the term 2015-17 are: Hossain Akhtar, Asif A Chowdhury, Khandakar Abdul Muktadir, K Atique-E-Rabbani, FCA  and Osman Gani.  
The new Board of Directors took over charge at the AGM held at its auditorium on the day.
Hossain Khaled is a BBA in Accounting from University of Toledo, Ohio, USA and an MBA in International Banking from Texas A&M University, USA.
He is the Chairman of Bangladesh Finance and Investment Company Ltd and City Brokerage Limited.
He is also Managing Director of AG Automobiles Ltd and Anwar Jute Spinning Mills Ltd and Director of Anwar Group of Industries, The City Bank Limited, BD Finance Capital Holdings Ltd and BD Finance Securities Ltd.
He was the President of DCCI during the years 2007 and  2008.
He was also the Senior Vice-President of DCCI during the year 2006 and Vice-President during the years 2002 and 2003.
Humayun Rashid is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Energypac Power Generation Ltd (EPGL).


He also served as President of France-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Vice     President of International Business Forum of Bangladesh (IBFB), Member of Army Golf Club, Gulshan Club and President of Rotary Club of Dhaka North.
He obtained his Bachelor Degree from University of Dhaka in the year 1982. He also attended training programmes on Entrepreneurship, Retail Product Marketing, Occupational Hazard and Safety both at home and abroad.
Md Shoaib Choudhury is the Managing Director of SS Vision Limited and Chairman of Hiron Agro Limited.
He obtained his honours degree from Bangladesh Agricultural University in the year 1986 and MBA from Asian University of Bangladesh in 1999.
He was also an Independent Consultant of the World Bank, NATP Project and Vice President of Centre for Environment Monitoring and Protection of Agricultural Resources (CEMPAR).
He was the General Manager of International Development Enterprise (IDE) and General Secretary of Bangladesh Crop Protection Association (BCPA). He also worked closely with different standing committees of DCCI and FBCCI.
