Human trafficking 37 return home from Myanmar

COX'S BAZAR, June 19 (UNB): A total of 37 Bangladeshi victims of human trafficking, who were rescued by Myanmar authorities on May 21, were brought back home from Myanmar on Friday after a flag meeting between the border guards of the two countries.

The flag meeting was held between Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Myanmar's Border Guard Police (BGP) at the Ghundum border point under Naikhyongchhari upazila of Bandarban district around 12:40pm, said superintendent of Cox's Bazar police Shyamol Kumar Nath.

Among the rescued victims, five hail from Sirajganj district, four from Sunamganj, eight from Kishoreganj, 11 from Habiganj, seven from Bogra and one each from Madaripur and Jamalpur districts, said the SP.
