Indo-Bangla joint border survey ends tomorrow

LALMONIRHAT, Jan 18: The secretary-level meeting between Bangladesh and India for conducting joint survey and determining legitimate ownership of disputed lands was held at Teesta Barrage guest house here Monday. Land Secretary Md Rafiqul Islam led a five-member delegation at the meeting while Land Secretary of West Bengal Dipankor Roy headed the Indian side. The joint team earlier Sunday visited Bangladeshi enclave Angorpota-Dahagram and Indian enclave Haldibari-Mekliganj. The team will visit tomorrow the area in the Teesta River where the international pillar Nos 796 and 797 are situated. — BSS
