Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said Thursday the international community has no question about Bangladesh's January-5 parliamentary polls, report agencies.
Hasina said this in response to a question during a press briefing at Ganabhaban about her recent Italy tour attending the 10th summit of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM).
Sought comments on the criticisms over the January-5 polls both by a section of people and foreign diplomats, she said during her visit to Milan, heads of government from different countries whose envoys in Bangladesh are raising questions about the election congratulated her for returning to power for the second consecutive time.
Many have termed the government uncontested and illegal one, while many are about to lodge a case against it, but there is no question against it at the international level, Hasina said.
Despite such allegations, the Prime Minister said, the Speaker and a member of the 10th parliament have been elected to two prestigious posts of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) and the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).
Sheikh Hasina has made it clear that her government will go tough on the BNP-led alliance if they harm the people during street agitations.
She has also ruled out chances of a dialogue with the BNP during Thursday's media call at the Ganabhaban.
Hasina called on the people to thwart attempts to create anarchy in the guise of demonstrations.
Hasina, who heads the ruling Awami League, responded: "We were in office as a transition government before the election. We couldn't do many things then.
"[I dare] them to touch a single people of this country."
She dubbed the BNP as "killers" and wondered why there were so many suggestions to sit for dialogue with them.
