Katakhali plant to generate 50mw power soon

RAJSHAHI, Aug 28: Katakhali Power Generation Centre is going to produce 50 megawatts (MW) of electricity in the next six to nine months on a rental basis. The Power Development Board (PDB) will also complete all necessary work to make the centre fit for generating 100 mw more power in the next two years. Power Secretary Abul Kalam Azad said this while making a courtesy call on Rajshahi City Corporation mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton at his office Friday. — BSS
