KCCI president sent to jail

Khulna Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) President and BNP leader Shaharuzzaman Murtaza, arrested from his residence at Bhairabsthan in Khulna city Friday, was sent to jail Saturday. Metropolitan Magistrate Atiqul Haque gave the order after rejecting a bail petition. Earlier, he was produced before the court. Kotwali police raided the house of Shaharuzzaman, and arrested him on charge of holding double passport. â€”UNB
