Interviewing aspiring party candidates for the upcoming parliamentary polls, BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia advised all who were getting nomination and who were not, to work together with the spirit of unity, reports UNB.
"Those who have stuck to the party in its bad days will certainly be rewarded. Those who kept away (reformists) now working to forge unity in the party will also be evaluated if and when the party comes to power," she told them.
Khaleda advised the party candidates to carefully fill up the 14-page nomination papers. "You don't conceal any information. If necessary, take help of lawyers."
All the members of the BNP standing committee were present during the interview. Intending candidates of each district along with president and secretary of the district unit were called together to minimise time.
Known reformists faced security risk from hundreds of activists who crowded in front of the Gulshan office. The young activists taunted, and booed the reformist candidates and hurled abusive at them.
