BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia moved the Appellate Division with a petition on Sunday, challenging a High Court decision that barred her from contesting the upcoming national election, reports UNB.
Her lawyer Barrister Mir Helal said the Chamber Judge's court would hear the petition today (Monday).
Khaleda's nominations for Feni-1, Bogura-6 and Bogura-7 constituencies were rejected by returning officers. She had moved the High Court after the Election Commission upheld the decisions.
But the High Court rejected plea on December 18. Attorney General Mahbubey Alam said the BNP chief would be unable to contest the election.
