Metro rail faces operating glitch

The metro rail operation once more faced trouble in operation near Kazipara station while heading towards Motijheel on Monday afternoon.
However, MRT-06 general manager (operations) M Iftekhar Hossain denied the suspension of the operation, saying it went normal two to three minutes later.
It is typical that normal train operation or airplane often faces trouble, according to him.
Meanwhile, passengers said the train suddenly stopped after a jerking at 1:30 pm and could not be operated for around 10 minutes.
The doors of the train also could not be adjusted with those of the station after the operation resumed.
Sources, however, said the fault was related to power voltage.
Since its launch on 30 December 2022, the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) line-06 has faced technical disruptions to train operation as well as to the ticketing system.
