Ministry urged not to impose import duty on sugar

The industries ministry has been urged not to impose Tk 2000 as import duty on per tonne of sugar. The parliamentary standing committee on industries ministry at a meeting also suggested introducing refinery system at four more government sugar mills for containing the market prices of sugar. The 19th meeting of the committee was held at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban. - UNB
