Muggers have shot a businessman in the capital and snatched Tk 1.6 million (16 lakh) from him, reports bdnews24.com
The incident happened on Thursday at Old Dhaka's Nababbari Pukurpar, said Assistant Police Commissioner of Kotwali zone Ahaduzzaman Mia.
The businessman, Badal Munshi (32), was taken to the Mitford Hospital before being shifted to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital.
Munshi, who is one of the partners of a business at the Badamtali wholesale fruits market, sustained bullet injuries in his right leg, said the police official.
