The National Board of Revenue (NBR) issued a fresh order transferring its income tax commissioners Wednesday.
It transferred 14 tax commissioners across the country by issuing the new transfer order.
However, the NBR scrapped its previous circular, issued on November 27, 2014 last, through which it had transferred 27 tax commissioners in one go.
On November 30 last, the NBR had temporarily suspended the order on transfer of the tax commissioners following reservation expressed by Finance Minister AMA Muhith.
In the fresh circular, the transfer order of 14 tax commissioners, out of 27, remained unchanged.
No decision has been taken yet on 13 others.
Under the fresh order, Md Belal Uddin has been appointed as Director General of the Central Intelligence Cell (CIC).
The Board has instructed the transferred tax commissioners to join their new posts by Monday (November 10).
