Dhaka gets digital bus ticketing system
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Thursday inaugurated the first ever digital ticketing system for city dwellers to travel by public buses. She inaugurated the ticketing system through videoconferencing with the officials of Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) and passengers from her official Ganabhaban residence. The digital ticketing system, 'Rapid Bus Card', is introduced by Dhaka Transport Coordination Authorities (DTCA) with the support of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). — BSS

Nat’l grid to get 500mmcfd LNG from April 25
A total of 500 mmcfd of liquefied natural gas (LNG) would be added to the national grid from April 25 to meet the country's growing demand, officials said Thursday. "We have signed a long-term agreement with Qatar to import up to 2.8 million tonnes of LNG per annum to ensure energy security in the country and the LNG would come in April this year," State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid said on Thursday. — BSS
