Govt approves two more pvt universities

The government has given approval to two more private universities. The universities are Khulna Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah University and Ahsania Mission Science and Technology University. Of them, Khulna Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah University is situated on the Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah Road at Chhoto Boyra in Sonadanga of Khulna. Ahsania Mission Science and Technology University is situated at Talaimari of Kajla in Rajshahi. With this, the number of private universities in the country stands at 98. Dhaka Ahsania Mission President Kazi Rafiqul Alam has founded the two universities. Rafiqul Alam is also the founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology. — UNB

SSC exam results on May 6

The results of this year's Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations will be published on May 6. The SSC and equivalent examinations began across the country on February 1 and ended on February 26. A total of 2031,899 students from 28,551 educational institutions appeared in this year's SSC and equivalent examinations from 3,412 centres across the country. A copy of the result would be handed over to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at 10am on the day, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid said. Later in the afternoon, the results would be formally announced at a press conference at the Secretariat, Nahid added. — UNB
