HC orders to form team to monitor fruit markets
The High Court (HC) ordered on Monday authorities concerned to form teams to monitor fruit markets and warehouses across the country so that none can use chemicals on fruits. A High Court division bench passed the order after holding hearing on a supplementary petition filed by rights group Human Rights and Peace for Bangladesh (HRPB). The court asked Inspector General of Police, Director General of RAB, Chairman and director of Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) to form the teams within next seven days. It also asked submit a report on this by June 18. — BSS

Biman to start Hajj flights on June 04
Biman Bangladesh Airlines will start carrying Hajj pilgrims on June 04, Biman's general manager  for public relations Shakil Meraj has said. Booking for the Hajj flights has already started on Monday. As per the agreement between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia, a total of 127,198 pilgrims will perform Hajj this year. Of them, Biman will transport 63,599 pilgrims to the kingdom. Biman will operate 157 dedicated and 32 regular flights within a month between June 04 and August 05. — bdnews24.com
