Advance train tickets on sale from June 2
Bangladesh Railway will start selling advance train tickets on June 2 on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. Bangladesh Railway Director General Md Amzad Hossain said on Monday they initially decided to start the ticket sales on June 2. The minister will announce the final decision on Thursday. He said the ticket sales will continue until June 6 while the sales of return tickets will begin on June 9 and continue until June 13.Tickets for June 11 journeys will be available on June 2, for June 12 on June 3, for June 13 on June 4, for June 14 on June 5 and for June 15 on June 6. — UNB

AFD to give 115m euros for water plant
The government of Bangladesh and Agence Francaise de Developpement (AFD), acting on behalf of the French government, recently signed a credit facility agreement on 'Saidabad Water Treatment Plant Phase III Project.' Secretary, Economic Relations Divisions, Ministry of Finance Kazi Shofiqul Azam and Regional Director of AFD for India and Bangladesh Nicolas Fornage signed the agreement, said a PID handout on Monday. — Agencies
