PM talks to ailing Mahmoud Abbas over phone

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina talked on Thursday to ailing Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas over the phone and enquired about his health condition. She also prayed for quick recovery of Mahmoud Abbas during the phone conversation around 5:15pm, sources at the PM's Press Wing said.— UNB

ACC charges 11 including bank manager

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) approved on Thursday a charge-sheet against 11 people, including former Madhabdi branch manager of Pubali Bank, over misappropriating Tk 888.5 million. The Commission at its regular meeting approved the charge-sheet against them in a graft case. The case was filed on November 11, 2013 with Narsingdi Model Police Station for violating rules by issuing several letters of credit. — UNB
