Office timing from 9am to 3:30pm for Ramadan
The government has rearranged the office timing for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan from 9.00am to 3:30pm for all government, semi-government, autonomous and semi-autonomous institutions. The decision was taken on Monday at the weekly cabinet meeting held with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair at the Prime Minister's Office. There will be a 15-minute break from 1:15pm to 1:30pm for Zohr prayers. Banks, companies and financial institutions will fix their own office timing. — UNB
Rape accused killed in Ctg 'gunfight'
CHATTOGRAM, Apr 29: A rape accused was killed in a reported gunfight with members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) at Amirabad in Lohagara upazila early Monday. The deceased was identified as Saiful Islam, owner of a coaching centre, and an accused in a case filed over violating a Class-IX student. — UNB
