PM holds press confce on India visit today

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will address a press conference today (Wednesday) to brief journalists about the outcomes of her just-concluded visit to Kolkata, India. The press conference will be held at her official residence Ganobhaban at 4:00pm, PM's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim said. — UNB

Rajshahi, Sylhet, Barishal city polls on July 30

The elections to Rajshahi, Sylhet and Barishal city corporations will be held on July 30. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Election Commission at Nirbachon Bhaban in the capital on Tuesday. After the meeting Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda disclosed it to the reporters. He said, "The deadline for the submission of nomination papers is June 28, while the dates for scrutinising those are July 01 and July 02, and the last date for withdrawal of candidature is July 09." — UNB
