Three die in anti-drug raids
Three people, two in Jhenaidah and one in Mymensingh, were killed in 'shootouts' during anti-drug raids across the country. Two people were killed in an alleged shootout with RAB in the Pabhati Jamtola area in Jhenaidah. The dead were identified as Sajjadul Islam, 42, and Abdur Razzak, 40. In Mymensingh, a man was killed in an alleged shootout with police in Ishwarganj. The deceased has been identified as Farooq Mia, 30.— bdnews24.com

AL to accord mass reception to PM July 21
Awami League will accord a mass reception to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at 3.0pm on July 21 at the historic Suhrawardy Udyan for the incumbent government's outstanding contribution to the country's development. The reception will be arranged for attaining the eligibility of Bangladesh to graduate to a developing nation, launching Bangabandhu Satellite-I, Sheikh Hasina's achievement of Global Women's Leadership Award from US-based NGO Global Summit of Women and her receiving D.
