NARAYANGANJ, May 6 (UNB): Lawyers here threatened today to lay a siege to the RAB-11 office on May 11 (Sunday) if the accused in the seven-murder case are not hunted down by the time.

President of Narayanganj Bar Association Advocate Sakhawat Hossain Khan came up with the threat at a rally held in front of the District Bar Bhaban at noon.

"We'll lay a siege to the RAB-11 office on Sunday if there's no revealing progress in the probe and if the accused are not booked by Saturday," he told the rally.

The lawyers observed a one-hour work abstention protesting the recent abductions and killings of seven people, including their colleague Chandan Kumar Sarker and Narayanganj City Corporation panel mayor Nazrul Islam.

Wearing black badges, the lawyers held the rally during the work abstention and later brought out a procession that paraded the court premises.

Sakhawat alleged that although they approached the elite force after Chandan Sarker had gone missing, they did not pay heed to it.

He also demanded action against the suspended deputy commissioner, police super of Narayanganj and the RAB CO after investigation.
