'No cattle market on city streets during Eid-ul-Azha'

Shipping ministry has recommended Dhaka City Corporation not to allow cattle-market to be set up on the streets during Eid-ul-Azha in a bid to control traffic jam. Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan said this to reporters after a meeting held at the ministry Tuesday. The ministry also decided that like previous years, ferrying of trucks over Padma River at Daulatdia-Patuira ghat will remain suspended three days prior and after Eid day respectively. -bdnews24.com
