No contender against Khaleda in BNP

The lone nomination paper for election to the post of chairperson of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), filed by Khaleda Zia, has been declared valid by the party's election commission, reports bdnews24.com.
Commission's returning officer RA Gani, who is also the party's standing committee member, said Thursday: "We have found Khaleda Zia's nomination paper valid."
There was no other contender against Khaleda Zia, who currently holds the chairmanship of the party.
December 4 has been set as the last day for withdrawal of nominations.
Khaleda Zia will be unofficially declared elected unopposed as the chairperson of BNP after 5:00pm that day.
