Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina reaffirmed on Monday that no one of those involved in the killing of Feni's madrasa girl Nusrat Jahan Rafi will be spared, reports UNB.
Sheikh Hasina made the remark when Nusrat's family members met her at her official residence Ganobhaban, said PM's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim.
Nusrat's parents-AKM Musa and Shirin Akhter-as well as her two brothers went to the Prime Minister's Office in the morning.
The Prime Minister consoled the family members and expressed her deep sympathy for them.
"No culprit will be spared from legal action," said Sheikh Hasina, assuring the family members of extending all sorts of support to them.
Chairman of NRB Global Bank Nizam Chowdhury was present.
Meanwhile, two accused-Nur Uddin and Shahadat Hossain Shamim - in the Nusrat killing case reportedly confessed before a court in Feni on Sunday to their part in the incident.
They gave 'confessional' statements before the court of Senior Judicial Magistrate M Zakir Hossain in the afternoon, said Shah Alam, an Inspector of Police Bureau of Investigation and investigation officer of the case.
He, however, declined to elaborate further for the sake of investigation.
Meanwhile, a foundation has been established in memory of the late madrasa girl. Victim's family established the Nusrat Jahan Rafi Memorial Foundation.
At a function on Sunday, Nusrat's father AKM Musa Mia spoke about the future plan of the foundation.
He said the foundation will stand by the helpless and oppressed women in the future.
Meanwhile, the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) was ordered on Monday to probe a case filed against former Sonagazi Model Police Station chief under the Digital Security Act.
Judge of the Dhaka Cyber Tribunal Ash-Shams Jaglul Hussein issued the order after accepting the case and asked PBI to submit a compliance report on April 30.
Barrister Sayedul Haque Sumon filed the case in the morning with the Cyber Crimes Tribunal against Moazzem Hossain, ex-officer-in-charge of Sonagazi Police Station.
The OC has been accused of recording and circulating a video on social media containing madrasa student Nusrat Jahan Rafi's statement.
According to the case statement, he called Rafi to the police station on March 27 after she accused her madrasa principal Sirajuddoula of sexually harassing her.
Moazzem asked offensive questions during questioning.
The OC was withdrawn on April 10 after Nusrat's family complained that he was not cooperating with them.
