OIC Secretary General in Dhaka; meets PM today

Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary General Hissein Brahim Taha arrived in Dhaka on Saturday on a five-day visit, reports UNB.

The Director General (International Organisations), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Wahida Ahmed, and Vice-Chancellor of IUT, Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, welcomed the OIC Secretary General at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

The OIC Secretary General will call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today (Sunday). He will also call on Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen.

As the Chancellor of the Islamic University of Technology (IUT), the OIC Secretary General will join the 35th Convocation of the IUT to be held on May 30.

Hissein Brahim Taha will also visit the Rohingya Camps in Cox’s Bazar.
