OMS of rice begins in city

The government Wednesday started the open market sale (OMS) of rice at populous points of the capital with 40 trucks. Today (Thursday) 10 more trucks will join the OMS operation. Under the OMS, the rice sells at Taka 22 per kg and each person can buy five kg of rice at a time. Besides, 650 dealers will also start the OMS in Dhaka, Narayanganj, Narsingdi and Gazipur districts from Friday next.
