One killed in Chhatra Maitree-BCL clash

RAJSHAHI, Jan 07: A student activist was killed Thursday in clashes at Rajshahi Polytechnic Institute between Chhatra Maitree and Chhatra League. Principal of the Institute Joynal Abedin said the polytechnic had been closed sine die. The victim was identified as Rezanur Chowdhury Sani, assistant police commissioner (ASP) MK Jahangir Hossain said. Three activists of Chhatra Maitree, a pro-Workers Party student body, sustained injuries as 10-15 Chhatra League workers attacked them at around 11:30am, said Hossain.
