A Power Development Board official was seriously injured Thursday after snatchers shot him at Siddhirganj, near Narayanganj and took away Tk 300,000, police said.
Rezaul Karim, 50, was shot twice at his legs as a gang of four miscreants snatched the money he was carrying to his home, local police chief Mukhlesur Rahman said.
"Karim is seriously injured and immediately sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. His
condition is now stable," he added.
Police said the miscreants were on two motorbikes and they followed Karim's rickshaw as soon as he drew the money from the Siddhirganj branch of Exim Bank.
