Former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia Wednesday fired a broadside at the caretaker regime for what she called its 'blueprint' for installing a government of handpicks through a 'sham' election, with a note of caution that such a move will be foiled by the people, reports UNB.
In her bitter salvo from the dock of a special court, her second appearance in a week to stand trial in a graft case, she charged the incumbent government with violating the Constitution time and again and hanging on to power on various pretexts.
Khaleda alleged the 1/11 episode was staged to fulfill the 'high ambition of a handful of people,' which she said is now crystal clear to all after 16 months of their rule.
