PM appoints five advisers with minister status

Five advisers to the Prime Minister have been appointed with the ranks of minister, accommodating some BNP seniors among them.

Exercising the powers vested in the Prime Minister of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, newly appointed Prime Minister Tarique Rahman appointed the advisers, shortly after the cabinet was sworn in Tuesday.

With the status of minister, Mirza Abbas Uddin Ahmed, Nazrul Islam Khan, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed, Md Ismail Zabiullah and Prof Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir have been appointed advisers.
