Polls: Restrictions on movement of vehicles

Ahead of the 13th national elections, authorities have imposed restrictions on the movement of vehicles on roads and highways, effective from zero hour on Wednesday.
Under the restriction, motorcycles, microbuses, pickup vans and trucks will not be allowed to operate until Friday night, except for vehicles engaged in official duties and displaying authorised stickers.
Vehicles exempted from the ban include those used by law enforcement agencies, the postal department, media organisations and election observers, as well as ambulances and other health service vehicles carrying medicines.
Motorcycles bearing Election Commission stickers will also be allowed to ply the streets during the restriction period.
