Re-allotment of plots to Taiwan investor in CEPZ

CHITTAGONG, Aug 27: As per instruction of the Prime Minister, Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) recently re-allotted the plots in Chittagong Export Processing Zone (CEPZ) to a former investor -- M/s Cosmos Shoes International Limited -- of CSD area. The proposed investment of one hundred per cent foreign-owned company was US$16.6 million. They will produce shoe accessories products for export. An agreement to this effect was singed between the BEPZA and the Taiwanese company Thursday. — UNB
