Rizwan Rahman has been re-elected president of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) for the year 2022.
He was re-elected at the 60th annual general meeting (AGM) of the business chamber on Wednesday, according to a DCCI press release.
Mr Rahman, Managing Director of ETBL Securities & Exchange Ltd, was the president of outgoing board of directors of DCCI for 2021 term.
Meanwhile, Arman Haque has been elected as the senior vice-president and Monowar Hossain has been re-elected as the vice-president for the term 2022.
The new Board of Directors took over charge at the AGM held at DCCI Auditorium in the city's Motijheel.
Besides, the newly elected directors of DCCI include Malik Talha Ismail Bari, Md Abdul Mannan, Md Habib Ullah Tuhin, Md Junaed Ibna Ali, Sameer Sattar. and S M Golam Faruk Alamgir.
The re-elected President of DCCI, in his wide-ranging business career, headed several segments of ETBL Holdings Ltd, a renowned local conglomerate diversifying from financial services, dredging infrastructure, commodities trade, cold storage, furniture and print media etc.

He is also a director of Eastland Insurance Company Ltd and the country's oldest business daily The Financial Express.
He has been engaged with DCCI in different capacities since 2006 to contribute to the private sector development after completion of his higher education from the UK.
Mr Rizwan also served as the director of Bangladesh Chamber of Industries (BCI) and Bangladesh Philippines Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BPCCI), and former vice-president of Dutch-Bangla Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DBCCI).
In the meantime, the newly elected senior vice-president Arman Haque is the Chairman of InnStar Ltd and Arman Haque Denims Ltd, Managing Director of Gas 1 Limited and House of Sunshine Ltd.
Vice-president Monowar Hossain is the proprietor of Monowar Trading while he previously served DCCI as the vice-president for the term 2021.
