Saarc body to discuss trade issues in Dhaka next week

The South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation (SAARC) committee on economic cooper ation (CEC) will hold its next meeting in Dhaka with a view to enhancing trade cooperation among the member states.
Bangladesh will host the 13th meeting from 24-25 November 2007 where representatives from the SAARC member countries will attend.
The two-day meet is likely to request the USA, Canada, Japan and Switzerland to accept SAARC as an association for according recognition to the cumulative rules of origin under their respective generalised system of preferences (GSPs) schemes.
