SC female lawyer slain

A female lawyer of the Supreme Court (SC) was slaughtered by unidentified assailants at her Elephant Road apartment in the city Tuesday noon, reports UNB.
The victim was identified as Sayma Khanum (35).
Police said a man known to her came to the apartment at about 12.30 pm while she was staying along with two maidservants.
Quoting the maidservants, police said the maidservants were working in the kitchen and the man was talking to her in the drawing room.
"A few minutes later the maidservants found her slaughtered body lying on the floor and informed her relatives and the police," said a police official who visited the spot.
Police recovered the body and arrested four people, including the two maidservants.
The motive behind the killing could not be known immediately.
