The Appellate Division has ordered disposal of the High Court order on the parole of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia's younger son Arafat Rahman Coco. A three-strong bench, led by new chief justice A B M Khairul Haque, Monday stayed the government appeal against the High Court ruling of August 26 that ordered extension of Coco's parole by 40 days. On a writ petition filed by Coco's lawyer, the court had also asked the government to explain why his parole should not be extended. — bdnews24.com
