The Supreme Court (SC) Sunday stayed for a week a High Court (HC) order that had asked the Rajdhani Unnayan Katripakhha (Rajuk) to refrain from allotting third phase plots at Uttara project until disposal of the writ petitions filed by aggrieved persons. The chamber judge of the SC passed the interim stay order upon a petition by the government as it preferred leave to appeal against the November 4 HC order. The Judge also asked the government to file regular petition for leave to appeal. — UNB
