Series of quakes jolt country

A series of light and mild tremors jolted the country, including the capital, Saturday evening.
People panicked as five light and mild tremors hit across the country during the period from 5.16pm to 6.21pm, Bangladesh Meteorological Department sources said.
There were no immediate reports of casualty.
The first tremor measuring magnitude 4.8 on Richter Scale was felt at 5.16pm, the second one measuring 3.3 at 5.42pm, the third one measuring 4.6 at 5.51pm, the forth one measuring 4.8 at 6pm while the firth one measuring 4.3 at 6.21pm.
The meteorological office said the tremors had its epicentre alone Comilla-Brahmanbaria region.
Quakes have affected Bangladesh many times in recent times but most have caused no loss of life or damage.
