Seven more healthcare centres sealed off in city

The authorities shut down seven hospitals and diagnostic centres in the capital on Tuesday, the second day of the ongoing crackdown against illegal health outlets.

The facilities were Bangladesh Eye Trust Hospital at Rayerbag, Alo Diagnostic Centre at Kamrangirchar, Noor Diagnostic Centre at Kamrangirchar, Inan Dignostic Centre at Kamrangirchar, Dhaka Diagnostic and Consultation Centre at Kamrangirchar, Shimantik Clinic at Khilgaon, and Mukti Nursing Home at Khilgaon Chowdhury Para.

Confirming the development, DGHS Director (Hospitals/ Clinics) Dr Belal Hossain said their teams sealed off operations of the healthcare facilities, which were found non-compliant.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) launched the drive on Monday.
