Ship with imported rice sinks

Our Correspondent CHITTAGONG, Apr 07: A foreign ship with 13.000 tonnes of rice imported by the government sank after collision with another ship at outer anchorage of Chittagong Port late last night. Port's radio control room (RCR) said the North Korean flag vessel MV Hongro Bong was knocked by Bangladesh flag vessel MV Bangalanka near the Charlie Anchorage at the Bay of Bengal at around 11.30 pm. The incident occurred in the Bay channel about 4.50 nautical miles away from the port when the Korean vessel with imported rice from Pakistan was calling at the outer anchorage.
