Shop gutted at Elephant Road

A fire gutted goods of a stationery shop worth Tk 0.80 million at Elephant Road in the capital Friday. The fire originated from a fault in the electricity line. The duty officer of Fire Brigade Headquarters, Selina Parvin, said the fire burned down Shimu Confectionery & General Store on the ground floor of Khadiza Plaza at 307 Elephant Road at around 4:15pm. — bdnews24.com
